Renesas Purchases Fast Logic™ Portfolio License

CUPERTINO, Calif. – April 2, 2012 – Alliacense announced today that Renesas Electronics Corporation has purchased a Fast Logic™ Portfolio license from The TPL Group.  Renesas Electronics Corporation, headquarted in Japan, is the world’s number one supplier of microcontrollers, and a premier supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions including microcontrollers, SoC solutions and a broad range of analog and power devices.

Renesas joins more than 30 other global electronics leaders who have purchased Fast Logic licenses since the licensing program began in 2007, including Samsung, Motorola, Philips, GE, and Nokia.

The TPL Group continues to demonstrate its commitment to invest in the protection of its licensees.  In September 2011 it filed a patent infringement lawsuit in the US District Court for the District of Delaware against 18 of the companies it believes are infringing its Fast Logic Patent Portfolio.  Several of those defendants have recently purchased licenses.
