Lenovo Purchases CORE Flash™ Portfolio License

CUPERTINO, California – August 4, 2011 – Alliacense today announced that Lenovo has purchased a license to the CORE Flash™ Patent Portfolio from The TPL Group. Lenovo is a $US21 billion personal technology company serving customers in more than 160 countries, and the world’s third-largest PC vendor.  This agreement makes Lenovo the nineteenth company to purchase a CORE Flash license, joining a growing roster of global market leaders including Asustek, Belkin, Lexmark and Philips.

About the CORE Flash Portfolio

The CORE Flash Portfolio contains intellectual property that was developed and productized by The TPL Group’s OnSpec Division. The portfolio includes 32 U.S. and international patents and 9 patent applications.  CORE Flash Portfolio innovations protect key aspects of flash memory management and control, including software, firmware, hardware, and mechanical designs.
